EAST HAVEN, CT — East Haven Fire Department Chief Matthew Marcarelli shared another lovely note of gratitude to the department for the exceptional care they received when they needed it the most.

Marcarelli wrote on Facebook: "Nice work today by Tyler Ross and John Hopkins!"

"Hello, my name is ________ and on Saturday the 9th _________ I fainted while at the something__________ in East Haven. Responding EMT and ambulance crew is wonderful. I only got one name and that was Tyler who was one of the EMTs. I was awake when they arrived and their level of care was outstanding. I will forever appreciate their great humanity and caring. They made an embarrassing situation (I hated being the cause of drama) calm and confident, knowing they had my best interest at hand. They made me feel comfortable and were just the best all the way over to your New Haven Hospital. Congratulations to you and your department for having such wonderful staff members."
