Banning Smoking and Vaping Proposed At East Haven Beaches, Parks
Residents - especially kids - are being exposed to too much smoking and vaping according to some and town may soon take action.

EAST HAVEN, CT - Banning smoking and vaping at all town parks and beaches in East Haven was discussed at a recent meeting of the Town Council.
The suggestion for the ban came in the form of a letter from resident who said that "the Pit, the splash pad, the town Green, the little league fields, etc. have a constant presencec of residual smoke."
The letter writer said he "didn't want to offend smokers but to enhance the quality of life of all East Haven residents." The letter writer added that perhaps a section could be set aside in each area - perhaps parking lots - for smokers if they wanted to enjoy their habit.
