From The Bench - East Haven Cheer Gets Ready For 2022

The East Haven 2022 cheer team is hard at work already. I caught up with them and 1st year head coach Tianna Speringo at practice today. The captains for this year's team are Taya Ragaini, Libby Nastri, Adriana Esposito and Ella Severino. All have been cheering since before middle school so their veteran leadership is very apparent. When asked, the girls all said their focus this year was to have fun, be competitive and come together like a family. “We want to bring East Haven cheer to an even higher level”, Ragaini said.

Coach Speringo said “The girls are working hard and they are all focused when we are practicing.” When asked about this group of captains she said, “They are a tremendous group of leaders, working with their peers and the younger teammates. I am so happy to have the opportunity to coach them.”

There are 9 seniors on the team and they are all working hard to get ready for competitions and games. I think we can expect great things from this group of ladies!
