East Haven police said folks who see a heavy police presence in the area should not worry; it's a South Central Regional SWAT team training.

EAST HAVEN, CT — In a social media post, East Haven police said law enforcement training Friday may produce a heavy police presence and residents should not be alarmed.

"Please be advised that the South Central Regional SWAT team will be conducting training exercises in the area of the Silver Sands Beach Club today for the majority of the day.

Please do not be alarmed if you see a heavy police presence in the area. This is all the result of our continued effort to keep our communities safe.
