EAST HAVEN, CT - The East Haven Fire Department and East Haven Firefighters IAFF Local 1205 have partnered to serve as a collection point for items needed by the members of the United States Coast Guard Station New Haven, workers impacted by the government shutdown.
The drop off point is Fire Headquarters, 200 Main Street, East Haven, CT 06512.
Examples of items include: canned goods, fresh bread, fresh produce, kids snacks, bottled water, toiletries, personal hygiene, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent/bleach, paper towels, diapers (size 3-6), wipes, etc. Additionally, grocery gift cards are always welcome and allow members the ability to make special purchases such as baby formula or purchases for allergic sensitivity needs.
