East Haven Eatery Hit With 3-Day Liquor Violation Suspension, $6K Fine

The bar/pizzeria will have its license pulled in early June, and was ordered to pay a $6,000 fine for sale to minors among other violations.

EAST HAVEN, CT — The state Liquor Control Commission has suspended Nicky's Place Bar & Pizza liquor permit for a total of eight violations, state records show. The bar is located at 400 Coe Ave., in East Haven.

The eatery's owner paid a $6,000 fine and agreed to the 3-day suspension after, according to the Liquor Control Commission, either a formal hearing was held in which the Commission found a violation of state liquor laws, or they entered into a voluntary agreement to settle allegations without a finding of fault.

Among the violations are sale to minors, "conduct of the permittee," restrictions on sales and purchases, loitering on permit premises, "purchase for resale," failure to have the bar's permit in "plain view," among others.
