East Haven Firefighters Recognized for Emergency Medical Service

This week is EMS week around the area and several East Haven firefighters were recognized for the service they perform.

EAST HAVEN, CT - This is 2018 EMS week. Earlier this week at the Yale Center for EMS Excellence recognized EMT’s and Paramedics from the East Haven Fire Department for various calls for service in the Town where successful resuscitation efforts occurred.

The following firefighters were recognized: Battalion Chief James Oca, Battalion Chief Andrew Carlson, Battalion Chief Eileen Parlato, Firefighters Rob Black, Scott Gravino, Matt Hall, Derek Tramontano, James Murray, Matt Drozd, Andrew Calhoun, Michael Volpe, Mickey Malerba, Gordon Stewart, Andrew Consiglio Jr., Joseph Ciscone, Wayne Palmer, Steve Brunelle Jr., Fred Parlato, Chris Guilfoil.

Additionally Firefighter Scott Gravino was nominated by his peers for EMT of the Year. He was then selected from a pool of candidates from throughout the region by a panel of EMS experts.
