Officials said Enzo's quick thinking and alertness shaved precious seconds off of emergency first response from 911 dispatch, EMS and rescue. They call him a hero.
Reached on Monday evening, Enzo said it was actually both him and his father who attended to his mom - who Enzo said suffered the medical condition while inside the hotel room the family was staying in before the wrestling match started.

"I had learned in class and also in my work with the East Haven (Explorer) Fire Department that it was important to get my mother in the fetal position so that's what we did," Enzo said. Enzo added that he and his dad were assisted by a 911 operator in attending to his mother before medics transported his mother to a New York hospital.
Since, Enzo's mom has been transported back to Yale-New Haven Hospital where, Enzo said, "she's doing well."
Asked whether he's been treated differently in school since the incident, Enzo said not many people knew about his heroics - yet.
"I'm usually the quiet type," Enzo said, anyway.
That may change, though, as Enzo’s heroics were drawing attention from the media Monday.
Oh, after saving his mom's life, Enzo stayed with his wrestling team, Team Tugman Wrestling, and wrestled five national team events winning two of his matches.
