East Haven Infant Left Alone In Tub Dies, Foul Play Not Suspected: PD
"Despite best efforts of the East Haven Fire Dept., ambulance medics, and hospital staff, the 7-month-old tragically died," police said.
EAST HAVEN, CT — Sunday night at around 9 p.m., firefighters and police went to a RedField Avenue address for a pediatric emergency call. When they got there, first responders found a seven-month-old infant "unresponsive after being left unattended in a bathtub," police said.
"Medics from the East Haven Fire Department attempted life-saving measures on scene before the infant was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital by AMR," East Haven police spokesperson Capt. Joseph M. Murgo said. "Despite best efforts of the EHFD, AMR, and Yale New Haven Hospital staff, the child tragically died."
East Haven police Investigative Services Division is leading the investigation, Murgo said, adding that "All individuals involved remained on scene and have been identified. Foul play is not suspected."

"Our hearts break for the child’s family during this incredibly difficult time," Murgo said. "At this time, we are withholding the identities of those involved, pending further investigation."
