East Haven Mayor Joseph A. Carfora Announces Re-Election Bid

EAST HAVEN, CT —Mayor Joseph A. Carfora has officially filed for re-election, his campaign noted in a news release Thursday night. The reelection bid, the campaign said, is him "reaffirming his commitment to East Haven’s residents and future with a proven record of progress and dedication, he is ready to continue building a stronger, more financially secure community."

If he wins at the ballot box, it would mark his fourth term in office.

"Serving as your mayor is the greatest honor of my life," Carfora said. “Together, we’ve
made tremendous progress—from economic growth and infrastructure improvements to
supporting local families and enhancing our quality of life. Our work isn’t finished. I’m running
for re-election to ensure East Haven remains a town we’re all proud to call home.”

His announcement notes that under his leadership, "East Haven has seen growth in several key areas."

It's noted the has "worked to attract new businesses while supporting local entrepreneurs, ensuring economic growth benefits for the entire community. Infrastructure upgrades—including roads, parks, and public facilities—have improved residents’ daily lives. His administration has also prioritized fiscal responsibility, strengthening the town’s budget and credit rating."

The campaign said Carfora has "emphasized transparency and open communication, ensuring that residents’ voices are heard and concerns addressed."

Carfora said his administration's "success is directly related to the strength and character of our entire community."

"When we work together with a shared vision, there’s nothing we can’t accomplish," Carfora is quoted as saying. "I look forward to continuing this journey with you and making East Haven even better for future generations."
