The honor recognizes folks with "exceptional public service, leadership, community involvement, selflessness, and remarkable achievements."

EAST HAVEN, CT — Mayor Joseph A. Carfora is proud to announce the recipients of the 2024 Mayor's Merit Awards, a distinguished honor recognizing individuals within our community who demonstrate exceptional public service, leadership, community involvement, selflessness, and remarkable achievements.
The Mayor's Merit Awards honor those who make significant daily contributions to the community through their dedication and commitment to public service. The newly established Merit Award Committee, composed of dedicated community members, played a vital role in selecting the nominees.
"This is a wonderful opportunity to highlight those in our community who bring tremendous value and make a lasting impact on the lives of others," Carfora said. "These recipients embody the spirit of public service and are truly deserving of this recognition. Please join me in congratulating all of our honorees."
