East Haven Offers One-Time Rebate Check To Elderly Residents
Any resident that is 65 years of age or older or has qualified for permanent total disability benefits is eligible for the rebate program.

From The Town of East Haven: East Haven residents, who are 65 years of age or older – or who have qualified for permanent total disability benefits – can apply for a one-time rebate check through the 2017 State of Connecticut Rent Rebate Program. To qualify for a rebate, annual income must be less than $42,900 for a married couple and less than $35,200 for a single person. Residents must provide proof of income, proof of rent paid and proof of utilities paid during calendar year 2016.
Residents of East Farm Village, Wood View and the Union School Apartments will be able to apply on site during certain designated dates and times. Please contact the resident services or management company staff for the exact dates and times to apply.
All other qualified East Haven residents must schedule an appointment to apply by calling the Town of East Haven Social Services Department at 203-468- 3303. Applications will be accepted through Friday, September 29, 2017.

Please be aware that the estimated calculated rebate amount shown on your application may be reduced by the State of Connecticut. All rebate checks will be mailed by the State of Connecticut after October 27 – regardless of when the application is submitted. Checks should be received by November 18, 2017.
