EAST HAVEN, CT - Nine different police officers from area police departments who were on the regional SWAT team were injured responding recently to a North Haven house explosion. Five of those cops were from East Haven.Last night, at the Stony Creek Brewery in Branford, a fundraiser was held for the cops who were hurt - and their families.The East Haven police department had this to say about the night on their Facebook page:"On behalf of the South Central Regional SWAT Team and their families, we want to thank everyone who came out last night to the Stony Creek Brewery to show their support. It means so much to us to know that the community supports and appreciates the sacrifices police officers make on a daily basis. It is because of you that last night's fundraiser was a success!"
