East Haven Resident Hits Winning Scratch-Off Lottery Ticket

The lucky ticket was sold in Bridgeport, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

EAST HAVEN, CT — An unnamed East Haven resident is $10,000 richer this week after claiming a winning lottery ticket purchased in Bridgeport, the Connecticut Lottery announced.

On Tuesday, the person claimed a winning $100,000 CA$HWORD ticket that was bought at Mo Mini Mart on Wood Avenue in Bridgeport.

The Connecticut Lottery publishes partial winner information as public record, according to officials.

The game, which costs $10 per ticket, began in September 2024, and as of Wednesday, nine grand prizes of $100,000 remained unclaimed.

Thirty-three second place prizes of $10,000 also remained unclaimed as of Wednesday.

More than 5.1 million of the game tickets have been printed, and the overall odds of winning are 1 in 3.13.
