East Haven Rotary Holds Wine Tasting Fundraiser

​The East Haven Rotary Club, which is now in its 78th year, will be hosting its 6th annual Wine Tasting Fundraiser on Thursday, May 18.

From The East Haven Rotary Club: The East Haven Rotary Club, which is now in its 78th year, will be hosting its 6th annual Wine Tasting Fundraiser on Thursday May 18th from 6:00-9:00pm at Anthony’s Oceanview, 450 Lighthouse Road in New Haven. The wines will be provided through the courtesy of Yankee Discount Liquor at 664 Foxon Road (Millbrook Plaza), East Haven.

Anthony’s hot and cold Hors D'oeuvres, Pasta stations and Chocolate Fountain will be served throughout the evening and a cash bar will also be available. Tickets are $ 45 per person and maybe purchased on line at: www.easthavenrotary.org or by contacting Rotarians Joan Adamczyk @ (203) 494-0033, Rich Anania @ (203) 469-4807 or any member of East Haven Rotary.

A raffle, with many great prizes will be drawn. Some of the prizes are: American Tourister 4 piece Luggage set; Nespresso Coffeemaker; Samsung Gear VR; Fitbits; Apple Watch; Shark Bagless Vacuum and Kitchen Aids to name just a few.

Since the Rotary Club derives most if not all of its revenue from fundraisers, the success of events like this will have a direct impact on the Club’s ability to help the community of East Haven. The East Haven Rotary Club was founded in 1939. Since that time Rotarians from East Haven have been involved in thousands of projects helping the residents of not just East Haven but around the world. Some of the local club’s annual activities are: “Clothe the Children”, Free Amber Alert Child Identification Cards, distribution of Thanksgiving baskets and Thanksgiving Day dinner, recognizing Students of the Month and annual Scholarship awards and the Public Safety Officers of the Year recognition.
