East Haven Rotary Hosts "Shred-it Day"Fundraiser
The Shred-It Day fundraiser event takes place October 22.

EAST HAVEN, CT - The East Haven Rotary Club, which is now celebrating its 77th year, will be holding a Shred-It Day Fundraiser on Saturday, October 22, 2016, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, at the Town Hall parking lot, located at 250 Main Street. The cost is $10.00 for each copy paper sized box; members of the Rotary Club will be on hand to assist. All proceeds will be used to help fund the club’s many community activities.
The club now was organized on March 3, 1939 and held its first meeting and was admitted to membership in Rotary International on March 13th of the same year. Since that time the club has remained dedicated and committed to improving the community and citizens of East Haven. Through its annual scholarship program and Student of the Month, the club recognizes and encourages achievement of high school students. Amber Alert Identification Cards, Clothe the Children, free Thanksgiving dinner and Breakfast with Santa and the Easter Bunny for children are some of its other volunteer activities.
