East Haven ShopRite Evacuated Due To Bomb Threat: Police
Police say there is "no indication the threat is credible," but are still asking the public to avoid the area so officers can search it.

Update: Police said no explosives were recovered and ShopRite has been cleared.
EAST HAVEN, CT — Shoprite in East Haven has been evacuated and officers are on scene after police received a report of a bomb threat.
Businesses surrounding the grocery store at 745 Foxon Road are evacuating their buildings as well, and outside agencies have been called to the scene to assist, said Captain Joseph M. Murgo, public information officer at the East Haven Police Department.

"At the moment there is no indication that the threat is credible but we are taking every precaution to ensure the area is safe," Murgo said. "For now, we are asking everyone to avoid the area so officers can conduct a safety sweep of the area."
