Had Us At Delicious: Main Street Eatery Marjoram Fresh Kitchen Opens

EAST HAVEN, CT —Using all fresh ingredients, ones sans hormones or antibiotics, Marjoram Fresh Kitchen promises just that: healthy, delicious and fresh good-for-you food.

Located at 420 Main St., in East Haven, the recently opened eatery serves fare that includes rice bowls, healthy wraps, "amazing" salads, natural juices, smoothies and more.

The Calcium Valley Bowl is pineapple in a curry sauce over grilled chicken breast cubes with basmati rice, cilantro, white onion, pumpkin, broccoli, celery, kale, and peppers.

Its Protein World Salad is in-house made Vitello sauce with wild, caught tuna, romaine lettuce, boiled egg, cherry tomatoes, almonds, red onions, and cucumbers.

They're also serving up an "East Haven Guacamole Bowl" made with fresh avocado and low-carb in-house made tortillas.

"We are very thankful for the warm welcome we have received from everyone in town, and for the feedback we have received after our opening," the eatery noted on Facebook.

So, as a "token of our appreciation," it's offering a 15 percent discount to all East Haven city's employees, including Town Hall employees, firefighters, police officers, school employees, transportation staff, public works personnel, and local government officials.
