Here's What Roads Will Be Closed For Saturday's Fireworks

A message from East Haven town officials and the police department: 

The Town of East Haven will be holding this year’s Firework Display on Saturday, June 29, 2013. The rain date is scheduled for Monday, July 1, 2013. 

As in the past years, vehicle traffic has been affected by road closures, street parking and modified directions of travel. 

Our Department understands that this may be an inconvenience to you as a homeowner in the affected areas. However, we need to make these changes to help move traffic in and out of the area as quickly and safely as possible. 

The following road closures/changes will be in effect on the day of the fireworks: 

The portion of Bradford Avenue/Cosey Beach Road between Coe Avenue and Cold Spring Street will be designated as One Way Traffic Only West Bound. 

The following streets will be designated as North Bound Traffic Only: Catherine Street, Hobson Street, Phillip Street, George Street, and Steven Street. 

The following streets will be designated as South Bound Traffic Only: Palmetto Trail and Henry Street. 

The following streets will have South Side Parking Only: Austin Avenue and Wilkenda Avenue. 

The following streets will have North Side Parking Only: Soundview Avenue, Bradford Avenue and Cosey Beach Avenue east of Second Avenue. 

The following streets will have East Side Parking Only: Second Avenue and the portion of Bradford Avenue/Cosey Beach Road between Coe Avenue and Cold Spring Street.
