Hit & Run Car Found, Victim, 21, In Serious, But Stable Condition: PD
East Haven police, investigating Tuesday's car vs. pedestrian crash, located the "offending" vehicle, and cops gave victim's age, gender.

EAST HAVEN, CT — Friday morning, East Haven police spokesperson Capt. Joseph M. Murgo announced investigators have "identified and located the offending vehicle," in the Tuesday night car versus pedestrian hit-and-run. Police said the victim remains hospitalized.
Police shared video saying they were looking for a silver Nissan SUV, which fled westbound on Foxon Road toward New Haven.
They found it, Murgo said. Investigators are working on identifying the operator, he said.

Murgo said the pedestrian victim of the hit-and-run is a 21-year-old man. Murgo said he remains hospitalized in serious but stable condition.

Around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, a man was struck by a vehicle on Foxon Road in the area of Mill Street. Police said that the offending vehicle, which was first described as a black sedan, "fled the scene at a high rate of speed and was last seen headed eastbound on Foxon Road toward North Branford." Police would later share video of the vehicle suspected to be involved. Not a black sedan, but a silver Nissan SUV. Which was determined to have fled westbound on Foxon Road toward New Haven, police said later.
The roadway was partially closed shortly after the crash.
