The owners add: “the line was out the door most of the day.”

Owners of the Lobster Shack, who formerly served their mouth-watering lobster rolls and delicious other award-winning seafood out of a operation at a marina located directly across from the Stony Creek Brewery in Branford, moved their business to East Haven.

The regular hours will be open Friday-Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and from Sunday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The owners, the Crismale's have spent the past several months, renovated the old Beachhead restaurant. The site first opened in 1942. It was famed, in its heyday, for its fried seafood dishes - along with its deck overlooking the nearby Long Island Sound.

The Lobster Shack lobster rolls are made with freshly picked tail and claw meat, real butter, and a sprinkle of lemon juice on a toasted sub roll.

On summer days in Branford, the restaurant was jammed with lobster roll loving fans enjoying the delicious sandwiches.

The owners have added a few new items to their menu. Just like the old Lobster Shack, it's BYOB.
