K9 Cops Gunner, Enzo And Mack Need Your Vote To Win Grant Funding

EAST HAVEN, CT — East Haven K9 officers Gunner, Enzo, and Mack, and their partners, Officer Kevin McGuire, Officer Donato Palma, and Officer Stephen Marsico, respectively, need your help to secure funding for essential equipment.

East Haven police posted to social media asking the community to help East Haven’s K9 Unit win a grant by casting a vote. As of Feb. 3, 541 votes have been cast.

The Hometown Foundation is awarding grants to the top three K9 teams, East Haven police said.

"We are granting $12,000 to a K9 unit, and it could be yours," the Foundation posted on its Facebook page. "If you are currently a K9 officer at a law enforcement agency anywhere in the country, you are eligible for this grant."

The voting opened Feb. 1, and closes Feb. 28. The first vote is free, additional votes are $1 each, with "every dollar benefiting The Hometown Foundation’s Police K-9 Program."

"Our K9 officers work tirelessly to keep our community safe, and now they need your vote," East Haven police posted.
