Main Street, East Haven Walgreens Closing Permanently On May 22

EAST HAVEN, CT — Though not on the list of the 500 stores closing in 2025, it was just announced by the company that the Walgreens at 157 Main St. is closing for good on May 22.

Located at the high profile northeast corner of Hemingway and Main, across from the East Haven Town Green, the store will close its doors at noon the 22nd.

Patch was unable to reach anyone at the store location to ask about the status of employees.

Walgreens notes that in all store closings, "prescriptions can be accessed at any Walgreens."
