Musical Headliner Announced for East Haven's 2017 Fireworks/Beach Party Celebration
Donations are also still being sought for the always popular fireworks show.

EAST HAVEN, CT — Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 484 and Mayor Joseph Maturo, Jr. have announced that this year’s 17th Annual Fireworks/Beach Party celebration will also feature a musical tribute to the ever popular American Rock Band, Earth, Wind & Fire, performed by “Elements.”
This year’s event will take place on Saturday June 24. The festivities will once again include another fun-filled day of food, music and live entertainment, which will begin at 12 noon and continue right up to launch time (approximately 9 pm). The rain date, which will be limited entertainment and the fireworks, will be Monday June 26th.
Through the generosity of PMA Companies, the VVA and the Town will be presenting “Elements” beginning approximately at 7:15 pm. This year, back by popular demand, leading up to the Fireworks show will be a special patriotic musical tribute to America’s Veterans, entitled “Rob and Karen’s salute to America’s Heroes”.

Similarly, Coe Avenue will be closed from the Bradford Street intersection to the beach. The East Haven Police Department will be posting notices and directing motorists in and around the general vicinity of the town beach.
Although the fireworks are presented in a cooperative effort with the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 484 and the Town of East Haven, the majority of funding is obtained from private businesses and some personal donations. To that end, donations may be mailed to VVA Fireworks 2016 c/o Mayor’s Office, 250 Main Street, East Haven, CT 06512.
