EAST HAVEN, CT — Saying that its "generosity helps us build a safer, stronger, and more connected community," East Haven police saluted the new Frontage Road hotel, Home2 Suites by Hilton, for its recent donation to the police department's youth program and its vital K9 unit.

"We are incredibly grateful to Nishal Desai and Lucille LoRicco from Home2 Suites by Hilton for their generous donations to our Police Athletic League (P.A.L.) program and our K9 Unit," police wrote on Facebook. The department shared that the business's "support helps us continue building positive connections with our youth through P.A.L. and ensures our K9 team remains equipped to serve and protect our community."

In its message to the community announcing the donation, police noted that the funding is much more than a donation; they're now "partners."
