The Community Dining Room serves Branford, North Branford, East Haven and Guilford folks. The leaders of two of those towns, East Haven Mayor Joseph A. Carfora and Guilford First Selectman Matt Hoey are good sports, the CDR noted in its Facebook post about its recent fundraiser, Pie Wars.
"Pie Wars happened today! East Haven took the win with Guilford coming in really close behind! Such good sports by these gentlemen! We are so grateful and had some fun! Total raised: $4,385.00 - Amazing!"
