Obituary: Andrew “Andy” Argento, 65 of East Haven

An Army veteran, he was a longtime USPS letter carrier, who took up guitar lessons and long Sunday bike rides​ after his retirement.

Andrew “Andy” Argento, 65 of East Haven passed away December 17, 2023 at CT Hospice. He was born April 16, 1958 in New Haven to Frank and Agnes (Lemon) Argento. Andy is survived by his mother, Agnes, two children; Kelly Argento of East Haven and Andrew Argento (Tamar) of Guilford. He is also survived by his companion, Acquetta Lewis, a brother, John Argento (Joan) of Guilford, a sister, Ann Malkowski (Lou) of East Haven, his former wife, Nadine Larcomb of East Haven, a niece, Jocelyn Argento Simmons and a nephew, Frank Dempsey.

Andrew is preceded in death by his father and a brother, Frank Argento.

After graduating, East Haven High School, Andrew joined the Army and served a tour of duty in Germany. Upon earning an honorable discharge, he returned home and began a career at the USPS as a letter carrier. After his retirement in 2013 he took up guitar lessons and long Sunday bike rides, retirement suited him well!

Andrew also enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, and March madness. He will be remembered for his generous nature and he always found something to laugh about. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A private funeral service will be held at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven with burial and US Army Honors at All Saints Cemetery in North Haven.
