Obituary: Ann Luden, 91, formerly of East Haven

A skilled cook, animal lover, Pavarotti fan, she was a member of St. Clare's Church Ladies Guild and neighborhood "ladies penny poker club."

Ann Luden, 91, formerly of East Haven, CT passed away in her sleep on May 13th, 2024 in Boynton Beach, Florida. Ann was born to William & Elizabeth (Boland) McEntee in Blanchardstown, Dublin, Ireland on February 12th, 1933.

Ann is the loving mother of five children, seven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. She is survived by children; Patty Luden (George Roth) of Florida, Roger Luden of North Haven, Sandy Luden (Vincent Campagnuolo) of Florida, Maureen Luden (Don Fetzer) of Maryland, her seven grandchildren; Charlotte Campagnuolo-Butler, (Danny Butler) Vincent Campagnuolo (Shelby Campagnuolo), John Campagnuolo, Faith Campagnuolo, Carissa Hildebrandt (Richard Hildebrandt), Robert Luden, Emma Luden and her four great grandchildren; Nolan and Callan Hildebrandt, Adaline & Ava Butler. She is also survived by her brother William McEntee (Deidre McEntee) of Couty Meath, Ireland and a sister Betty Muir of Rochester, CT.

Ann is preceded in death by her parents, husband Rogers Luden (2002) and her son, Robert Luden (2013).

Ann was a devoted Christian who attended mass every Sunday. She was part of the Lady’s Guild at Saint Clare’s Church and the local neighborhood “lady’s” penny poker club. She was a true animal lover…kind & compassionate.

Her door was always open for any stray animal. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially, gardening & swimming. Ann loved attending Broadway shows, listening to classical music, and dancing. One of her favorite artist was Luciano Pavarotti. She was a skilled cook, who was fond of having big Sunday dinners with all of her family. Her grandchildren where the light of her life.

Family will receive friends at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven on Saturday May 18, 2024, from 9 to 11 A.M at which time her funeral procession will leave for an 11:30 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at the Church of St. Vincent de Paul, 80 Taylor Ave., East Haven with Committal/Burial to follow at East Lawn Cemetery beside her husband.
