Obituary: Christa Delmonaco, 35, of East Haven
Christa, known for her bigger than life personality and devotion to her son, worked many years as a talented beautician and hair artist.
EAST HAVEN, CT - (From West Haven Funeral Home) Christa Delmonaco, age 35, of East Haven passed away peacefully at home on November 30, 2021, with her family by her side.
Christa was born on October 26, 1986 to Karen Hurley Delmonaco and Joseph Delmonaco Sr. Christa graduated from North Haven High School, and then went on to become a talented beautician and hair artist, which she was fiercely passionate about.
Christa’s greatest joy was being a mother to her son Edward “Eddie” Ernest Marchitto. Christa had a bigger than life personality that people immediately gravitated towards.
She will be remembered for her love and loyalty to family and friends.
In addition to her son Eddie Marchitto and her parents, Christa is survived by her fiancé Stanley Wheeler, brother Joseph (Leanne) Delmonaco Jr., sister Nicole Delmonaco, stepparents Maria Delmonaco and Ronald Misbach, grandmother Margaret Hurley, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Walter Hurley, Susan Delmonaco, Fredrick & Midge Misbach, John Maselli, and her aunt Phyllis Francis.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 9 at 11 AM in Holy Infant Church, Orange.
Interment will be private. West Haven Funeral Home at the Green is entrusted with arrangements.
