Jerry Ucci, born on August 15, 1938, in New Haven, CT, passed peacefully into eternal life with the Lord on January 2, 2026 surrounded by his loved ones. He was 87.
A Connecticut native and son of Italian immigrants, Jerry brought warmth, generosity, and an unwavering work ethic to everything he did. He led his life with a generous hand, loved deeply, and devoted himself to the care and well-being of others. His legacy will continue to shape his family for generations.
Jerry placed his faith in Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. In his eternal home, Jerry is reunited with his parents, Frank and Anna Ucci; brothers Philip, Frank, and Anthony Ucci; sister Maryann Antonino; and son Brian Ucci. Beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Jerry is survived by his children Holly Shaw, Darin Ucci, Jason Ucci, and Rachel Gaudet (Scott); his eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Jerry was an incredible salesman and loved working in the insurance industry. He opened United Insurance Group, Inc., a family-owned business in Orange, CT in 1973 and it is still thriving today. He always came to work ready for business, professionally dressed in a suit and tie. Jerry had a passion for cultivating relationships and helping families and businesses safeguard what matters most. Even in his leisure time, Jerry’s hands were never idle. He found joy in tending his yard and took great pride in the many blessings in his life.
Later in life, while work still remained a passion, Jerry slowed down to savor the richer moments, treasuring the time spent guiding and mentoring his growing grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be remembered most for his infectious smile, magnetic presence, and generous acts of service to his family and community. Together, we take comfort in knowing that our earthly bodies are temporary, and God has prepared a heavenly home for us eternal in glory. 2 Corinthians 5:1

Services and Celebration of Life to honor Jerry Ucci will be held MONDAY, January 12, 2026, at Vertical Church–225 Meloy Road, West Haven, CT at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends may call at the Vertical Church from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.
