EAST HAVEN, CT — Firefighter Matthew Monico was sworn in Monday as the town's Acting Fire Marshal.Monico replaces Battalion Chief Chris Guilfoil, who held the temporary position for the past 180 days, according to Fire Chief Matt Marcarelli. "The department wishes Matt well in his new role and extends its gratitude to Battalion Chief Guilfoil for filling this vital role for the last six months," Mararelli noted on Facebook.
