Obituary: Julie S. Dunham, 75, of East Haven

Julie S. Dunham of East Haven died Sunday April 28, 2024 at the Hospital of St. Raphael Campus, YNHH. She was the wife of the late Anthony “Scoopy” Scoppetto. Julie was born on August 3, 1948 in New Haven, daughter of the late Louis N. and Edith Benny Dunham.

She was a graduate of SCSC in 1970 and taught in the West Haven School System for 30 years until retiring. She was a former member of the Civil Air Patrol and she belonged to St. John’s Episcopal Church in North Guilford.

Julie is survived by her brothers, Louis (Patricia) Dunham of Deep River and Giacomo (Anjela) Iovine of East Haven, her step-brother Frederick Iovine of Idaho and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Judy Sokoloski.

Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service on Friday May 10, 2024 at 11:00, with a visiting hour from 10 – 11, at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford.
