EAST HAVEN, CT - A man has been charged in connection with a shoplifting at Dollar General, East Haven Police say. The accused concealed items worth $60 in his jacket, police said.
On Saturday, officers responded to Family Dollar, 684 Foxon Road, for a reported shoplifting. The suspects had fled the store and once police arrived the store's manager said she recognized two individuals in the store as being the same to people who had shoplifted from the store on Dec. 29, police said.
The manager told police that she saw Stephen Joyner, 50, conceal several items in his jacket while walking up and down the aisles, police said. The manager stated Joyner was accompanied by a female, but it was unclear at the time if she had also concealed items, police said.
