Today (May 23) at about 3:30pm, the East Haven Police Department responded to a serious motor vehicle accident on North High Street near the CT National Guard Range. The South Central Connecticut Traffic Unit has been called in to assist with the investigation. Preliminary investigation indicates that the accident involves two vehicles that appear to have collided head on. Both drivers were transported to the hospital with serious injuries. Investigation is ongoing and may last several hours. During this time, the roadway will be closed. No further information is available at this time.
