'Protecting Those Who Protect Us:' K9 Gunner Get New Bullet-Proof Vest
The LOF Defence Systems vest, donated by Brittany Murphy/non-profit Blue Line Jars, gives East Haven K9 the "critical protection he needs."

EAST HAVEN, CT —A local nonprofit dedicated to keeping police dogs safe, donated a bullet-proof vest to the East Haven police K9 unit's team of Officer Kevin McGuire and his partner, K9 Gunner.
The East Haven Police Department shared the news on Facebook.
The brand-new LOF Defence Systems Ltd. ballistic vest, was donated by Brittany Murphy and Blue Line Jars.

Police said the vest "will provide K9 Gunner with the critical protection he needs while serving our community with unwavering dedication."
In its post, police thanked Murphy, Blue Line Jars and LOF Defence Systems Ltd. for their "incredible support and commitment to our K9 officers."
