Carmela Pisano Ferretti, 94, passed away Feb. 21. A beloved great-grandmother, before retiring, she was an administrator for Local 443.

Professor Karl Stephen Paecht, 86, passed away Feb. 16. A US Air Force veteran, he earned numerous college degrees, taught at and chaired departments at Gateway Community College, and enjoyed ballroom dancing, winning the 1986 Gold Medal.

Joan (Toohey) Cox, 92, passed away Feb. 24. Joan balanced part-time jobs while raising eight children. She loved spending time with family, cooking, baking, visiting casinos, and supporting charities, including the homeless and veterans, through donations and volunteer work.

Charles F. Walters, Jr., 82, passed away Feb. 18. Retiring after working for many years at G & O Manufacturing Company, he enjoyed fishing, going to the beach and was the “GPS” for his best friend John Franco for over 40 years. They were more like brothers than friends.
