EAST HAVEN, CT — Recent East Haven obituaries.

Marcia Munro, 79, passed away March 13. Taught classical piano by her mother, in 1962 she won the New Haven Symphony Orchestra Contest for students, young people playing Mendelssohn’s piano concerto in G Minor and music continued to play a tremendous role in her life and those around her.

Virginia (Melillo) Huisman, 83, passed away March 10. A longtime Foxon softball coach in the 70s who with her sister PJ owned The Beaded Banana, she enjoyed drawing/painting, dancing, boating, swimming and road trips.

Patricia Nuzzello, 66, passed away March 10. Patty had a heart for caring for the elderly, and was employed as a CNA at Lifetime Solutions and later transitioned into private care until her retirement.

Theresa M. Vanacore, 94, passed away March 6. Kind, intelligent, and dignified to her last day, she'll until her retirement, she served The Newton New Haven Company as its Executive Assistant and was honored to have been its first female corporate officer.

Pasquale “Pat” Perrone, 91, passed away March 15. Born in Faicchio, Province of Benevento, Italy on March 17, 1933, prior to his retirement, Pat was employed by the former H.B. Ives Company of New Haven.
