Today, U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) discussed his week spent living on a food stamp budget, and the critical importance of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) for Connecticut families. Murphy lived on the food stamp budget in order to better understand how the program works on a personal level. Murphy held a roundtable discussion with leaders from various Connecticut food banks at the CT Food Bank facility in East Haven.
