EAST HAVEN, CT —When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes.

Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
Julia is a selfless person, she takes on the extra hours and changes as a VA RN with a smile and whole heart. She cares for COVID patients daily and she gives the extra time they need and deserve. Julia is on a mission to make a difference and to make sure her patience feel her compassion! She comes home and makes time for her family and friends, she makes sure they have what they need to live safe and healthy. I'm so very proud Julia is my sister in law and I'm proud of her!
