The Sign Is Up, So When Does New Frontage Road Burlington Store Open?

EAST HAVEN, CT — Teased with a December 2024 official announcement by Mayor Joseph A. Carfora, and now with signage in place, Patch reached out to the corporate office of Burlington Stores about when folks can expect to start shopping.

According to spokesperson Julia DePillis, the store is "currently slated to open in Fall 2025."

"We are thrilled to bring a new store to the East Haven community, offering residents our everyday low prices on a wide assortment of brand name merchandise for the entire family and home," she said.

It's unclear if the store is in the hiring phase, as all Burlington Stores open positions in Connecticut do not include East Haven. Check here for those jobs.

Last December, Carfora announced the retailer was moving in.

"Burlington’s decision to open a location here in East Haven is a win for our community. It reflects our ongoing efforts to make our community a location of choice for businesses," he said. "Their presence will expand local retail options and create new jobs.”

The site on Frontage Road has been a cornerstone of East Haven’s retail sector for years. Originally home to Xpect Discounts, it was transformed into a Big Lots in 2017 before Burlington’s recent acquisition.
