Taco Bell May Open First East Haven Location: Report

Officials are awaiting a follow-up from a "potential applicant" who may bring the chain to Frontage Road, the New Haven Register reported.

EAST HAVEN, CT — East Haven residents may no longer need to leave town limits to get their Taco Bell fix.

The New Haven Register has reported that a "potential applicant" is looking into opening the fast-food chain on Frontage Road, in between Home Depot (75 Frontage Road) and Car Max (121 Frontage Road).

If a Taco Bell does open there, it would be the town's first — Taco Bell currently has two locations in New Haven and one in Branford, but none in East Haven.

"We await a return of the potential applicant to bring a more detailed site plan for a meeting with staff officials to assess their site proposal," Joe Budrow, East Haven's zoning enforcement officer, said in an email to the New Haven Register.
