EAST HAVEN, CT — This Halloween, the East Haven Rotary Club will once again be giving out candy to the town's children through its "Trunk or Treat" event.

Last Halloween, when traditional trick-or-treating was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, Rotary Club members gave out candy from the decorated trunks of their cars.

This year, not only is the event coming back, but it's expanding.

"In addition to the first-time event being so heavily attended by area neighborhood 'creatures and goblins' of all ages; the comments of the accompanying adults were so enthusiastic and favorable that the Rotary Club has announced they will once again host this holiday event at two locations," Rotary Club officials said in a news release.

Anyone who would like to decorate their trunk and give out Halloween treats can contact Rotarians Joan Adamczyk at (203) 494-0033, Ann Pennington at (203) 314-6107 or Erika Santiago at (203) 278-0969.

The Rotary Club is also accepting monetary donations for the event. Checks can be made out to the East Haven Rotary Club and mailed to the Club's PO Box 120598, East Haven, CT 06512.
