Very Good Boy 'Mater,' 5 Months In Shelter, Desperate For Forever Home

"Absolutely wonderful with people, kids," East Haven Animal Shelter staff hope the young German Shepherd/Belgium Malanois mix gets adopted.

What he needs is a "family that will work with him and put the time into train him," a fenced in yard and no other dogs in the home — reasons shelter staff believe may be factors in why he's not yet been adopted.

The one and a half year old is neutered and vetted, great with people, has ""zero food aggression and zero resource guarding." "We want to make sure we find him the best fit so he never comes back to the shelter again," the post reads. "There has to be a home for this beautiful boy out there somewhere!"
