Walk Planned For East Haven Teen Badly Hurt Mowing Lawn

On July 27th 2017, a 30-foot tree tumbled down and critically injured then 16-year-old Nick Vessicchio while he was mowing his own lawn.

UPDATE: The date is being changed. The walk event is still being planned but it won't be this weekend.


EAST HAVEN, CT - Put on your kicks and walk for Nick at a charity fun walk event in his honor this coming Sunday morning at East Haven High School.

All money made from the event will go directly to help defray Nick and his family’s medical costs.

On July 27, 2017, a 30-foot tree tumbled down and crItically injured then 16-year-old Nick Vessicchio while he was mowing his own lawn.

As his medical expenses continue to mount, the family is going ahead and committed to using all their personal means with the exception of their home as they need a place to take care of Nick.

Please join us for a charity Fun Walk to raise money for Nick's medical expenses!!
Details:
-Walk Check-In begins at 9:30am
-Fun Walk begins promptly at 10am; we will walk 1.7 miles around EHHS
-Food and beverage will be available for purchase after the walk
Walking fees:
$10 per person, aged 12+
$5 per child, aged 4-11 (children aged 3 and under are free)
**Prices will be higher at the door, so please pay online now**
*We will also be selling specialty Fun Walk t-shirts at the event (proceeds also go to Nick)
In the instance that you do not want to participate in the walk, there is an option to also donate online to this cause.
