Those who stopped in to fill up their cars with gas on Christmas Day at Forbes' gas stations got themselves an extra Christmas present. The price of a gallon of gas was about 30-40 cents lower than it was just a day ago at the gas station. But on Christmas Day the price of gas at Forbes was $2.25 per gallon. For those whose cars take premium, the price was at a price rarely seen in past several years - $2.39. Forbes, which has two gas stations in East Haven and one in New Haven generally charges the cheapest gas prices around - everyone knows that. And the price of a gallon of gas has been on the decline for several weeks. Merry Christmas!P.S. - Unfortunately prices were back to normal on Wednesday morning.
