2 Women Charged With Prostitution Offenses After Raid At Enfield Spa

ENFIELD, CT — A recently-opened spa on the corner of North Main and Russell streets was the subject of a "targeted operation" by local and state authorities Wednesday, resulting in the arrests of two women on prostitution-related charges.

Members of the Enfield Community Police Officers and detective divisions, together with the East Central Narcotics Unit, conducted the operation at the Oasis Wellness Spa at 25 North Main Street. According to business filings, the spa opened in July.

Li Shi Han, 52, of New York City, was charged with prostitution and conspiracy to commit prostitution. Xiang Chun Huang, 56, of Flushing, N.Y., was charged with permitting prostitution and conspiracy to commit prostitution, police said.

Each woman was held in lieu of $10,000 bond. They are slated to be arraigned Thursday in Hartford Superior Court.
