Enfield Arrest Uncovers Ghost Guns, Leads To Federal Guilty Plea
A traffic stop in Enfield led investigators to seize dozens of firearms and thousands of rounds of ammunition in Massachusetts days later.
ENFIELD, CT — A Massachusetts man has pleaded guilty in federal court to multiple firearm offenses stemming from an April 2024 arrest and subsequent investigation, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Connecticut.
Nicholas Kingsley, 42, of Agawam, Massachusetts, pleaded guilty Monday in Hartford federal court to unlawful possession of firearms by a felon, unlawful possession of a machine gun, and unlawful possession of a weapon in violation of the National Firearms Act.
According to court documents and statements made in court, Kingsley was arrested by Enfield Police on April 16th, 2024, following a traffic stop, during which officers found him in possession of three privately made firearms, commonly known as ghost guns, and 45 rounds of ammunition.

Two days later, on April 18th, 2024, while Kingsley was detained in state custody, Homeland Security Investigations agents searched his vehicle in Agawam. Investigators seized 14 fully assembled firearms, several Glock machine gun conversion devices, and more than 2,000 rounds of ammunition of various calibers.

Prosecutors said Kingsley has a prior felony criminal history that includes convictions for drug, firearm, assault, and larceny offenses. Federal law prohibits convicted felons from possessing firearms or ammunition that has traveled in interstate or foreign commerce.
Kingsley has been detained since his arrest. He faces a maximum possible sentence of up to 35 years in federal prison across the three charges. Sentencing is scheduled for March 16th, 2026.
