Does anyone in your family work in politics or government? No

Previous public office, appointive or elective: Yes. I have served on the Enfield town council as an elected official for over 20 years.

Why are you seeking this office?

I am seeking this office because I want to work towards making our Enfield community a growing, prosperous place to live, work, and recreate for families.

Also, another goal I have is to make Enfield attractive so businesses will choose Enfield as their home.

The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it: The high cost of living is the most pressing issue facing my constituents.

While I can't control the fact that we have to pay taxes, I certainly will use my budgetary knowledge and skills to properly allocate, fund, and be fiscally responsible when addressing the town budget.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

The main difference between me and my opponent is that I believe my role as an elected town councilor is to serve the needs of the people, unlike my opponent, who is running on a ticket that does not have this philosophy.

Another difference is that it is important, once the budget has been passed, not to fund projects that have not been budgeted for, like my opponent's team.

A big difference is education.

Unlike my opponent and his side of the aisle, I strongly believe it is extremely important to properly and fully fund our schools.

This includes hiring teachers and staff necessary in order to provide our students with the education they deserve.

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?

I will address public safety, services for our veterans and seniors, recreation, and improvements to our infrastructure, to name a few.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence that you can handle this job?

During budget deliberations, I have offered suggestions and solutions to address services that would affect taxes.

I have and plan to continue to support education, such as programs and staffing.

I am a strong advocate for social services. Recently, I offered a resolution to restore the money eliminated in the budget for our warming center.

It didn't pass, but it did raise awareness in the community about the need we have for our less fortunate citizens.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you? Be honest. People appreciate those who tell the truth. Sometimes, it is difficult, but it is a requirement of this job

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

I have served our Enfield community with dignity, respect and by being fiscally responsible for over 20 years. I plan to continue to do so.
