Previous public office, appointive or elective: Yes. I was appointed to the Enfield Town Council on Sept. 3, 2024, to fulfill the remainder of the 2023-25 term as the District 3 Councilor.
Why are you seeking this office?
I am running for public office because I care deeply about the well-being and future of our community.
I’ve listened to the concerns of residents and local business owners, and I believe it's time for thoughtful, common-sense leadership that addresses the real issues we face.
I am also looking forward to continuing the good work I have had the opportunity to be a part of, including as a member of the School Modernization Committee.
The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it: Increasing taxes.
I am passionate about fiscal responsibility. I want to ensure our tax dollars are being spent wisely and efficiently.
As a Town Councilor, I will advocate for reasonable tax levels while maintaining the vital town services are residents have come to rely on.
I will prioritize fiscal responsibility by pursuing savings, leveraging grant opportunities, and improving efficiencies to ease the tax burden on our community.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
As we've seen in the past, some are content to accept the budget as presented, offering little to no scrutiny.
That's exactly how communities end up facing steep tax increases.
My fellow Republican Town Councilors and I are committed to a different approach. We will thoroughly review every line of the budget, ensuring each expense is justified and exploring every opportunity to find savings for our residents.
What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
Improving recreational fields and facilities.
I understand how important it is for residents to have safe, updated spaces to play, grow, and connect. I’m committed to making this a true priority.
Infrastructure and maintenance.
I believe we need consistent, transparent investment in our roads, schools, and public buildings.
These are not just budget items; they’re community foundations that affect all of us.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence that you can handle this job?
As a dedicated member of the Town Council, I’ve consistently demonstrated my willingness to engage in tough conversations and take on challenging work to serve our community effectively.
I have regularly exhibited the ability to understand complex issues and make informed, well-reasoned decisions.
Outside of my work on the Town Council, I have had the privilege of serving as president of the Enfield Soccer Association for the last six years, a volunteer role through which I have demonstrated what strong civic engagement and community-focused leadership truly looks like.
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
The best advice anyone ever gave me was: “Listen more than you speak.” Since joining the Town Council, I’ve taken that advice and carried that mindset with me during my interactions as a public servant.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
As someone with a background in law enforcement, I am deeply committed to the safety and quality of life of our residents.
We must make our streets safer by cracking down on speeders and reckless drivers who endanger others with no regard for the law. Everyone deserves to feel safe in their own neighborhood.
As a parent with two children currently enrolled in the Enfield School System, I share the concerns that many Enfield families have regarding the direction and priorities of our schools.
With the continued threat of violence and school shootings across the country, I also strongly support maintaining armed security and police officers in our Enfield schools.
Our students, teachers, and staff deserve a secure environment where learning can thrive without fear.
