ENFIELD, CT — Three New York residents were taken into custody Tuesday after fraud attempts were made at two neighboring businesses in the Brookside Plaza.

According to Police Chief Alaric Fox, around 10:52 a.m. at the Santander Bank branch, one of the men attempted to withdraw money from an account not belonging to him. Around the same time, two other men had entered the TJ Maxx store and attempted to open a fraudulent credit card account.

Investigation yielded the three men were in possession of "an abundance of fraudulent identification on them tying to other (real) people," Fox said.
